OK I was ask about the guage faces on this build. The Tach face was from the Revell Street Burner 57 Chevy. It is a repop of the Soff Seal's car. The in dash guages came from the Christine kit I used as a donor. The regulator, it came from a set of welding bottles that were in an AMT kit. I am not sure what kit. I was over at Bob Woldeit's digging around in his junk yard. I found a pill bottle with about 10 welding bottles in it. There was a light blue one the regulator had broken off of so I ask him for it. No problem he says. I think he told me it was in a 56 Ford pickup kit but I could be wrong. Any way I painted the regulator with Orr-Lac Dull Aluminum, then used Gel Pens to hand paint the numbers and needles. When everything had setup I put a drop of "Instant Krazy Glue Color Change Formula" The bottle says it "Goes on purple and dries clear" And it does. Looks like a guage face. Good stuff. It comes with a brush in the bottle, easy to use.

I still think that fugly body wasn't worthy of all that GREAT detailing !
I don't know why you kept that, and let me have the '51 PU. :?:

Clay I looked at the 51 Ford PU and thought about it and just couldn't wrap my head around all that was needed to make it right. The paint job you put on it was a work of art on a resin canvas. It all worked out. :D

This is absolutely stunning! I think only builders could appreciate how much work went into this. The detail work is over the top and so awesome to look at. This is really getting me all worked up to want to do another 57 type build that I did way back when. 10 out of 10 buck. Home run out of the park!

A lot of work has gone into this car that can't be seen - Great work Buck,
and the history behind it is like a real race car  - each owner doing their own upgrades,
then selling it on, until it eventually hits the strip. Very good thread.

We discussed that tail section over at Zbucksters, But the engine and detailing is fabulous ! (fabulous sounds kinda like a limp wrist-ed description, doesn't it? That's KICK A**)

I just went through this build front to back. It is an amazing merc! I have thought about doing a build of similar style so I will definitely be referencing this build in the future for inspiration!

Thanks guys. I am thinking about building another Pro-Mod 1953 Studebaker. Styled after the "Wait For Me " AA/GS car. Just no blower.
