PostSubject: Valentino Rossi's 2009 Yamaha FIAT YZR-M1.    Sun 17 Mar 2013, 2:18 pm

Ok fellas here we are. My newest build. One I've been gearing up for.

Valintino Rossi's 2009 Yamaha FIAT YZR-M1.

I got tons of photos found. Paul has also provided me with Tamiya magazines that have build ups of the bikes. I've got the kit I've got the Detail up set. More carbon fiber on the way, front fork set on the way. Rivets, chain and electrical conneters on there way.
I'm going all out I'm gonna push my self hard on this one.

What I've got to work with so far.

And the inside of the detail kit. I know some of you wanted to see.

I get photos up as the rest of the stuff rolls in. Gonna go big. Stay tuned!

That's a lot of PE for this build. I can't wait to see it being applied.

Thanks. Yeah I plan on being pretty steady with the progress. I hope lol its a lotta cut fit test look at pictures test and so on... Lotta back and forth. This part here I'm still not sure about Idk if I was supposed to cut off part of the original or not... Very unsure since I didn't have any angle that shows this.

I don';t know very much about bikes, so I am really enjoying this build. And learning something to boot.

I don't know a whole lot eather but time to learn lol

Ok little work done here. Some light washing on the block to get the colors right. But mostly photo etch work. Also filled the rear swing arm will milliput primed and sanded back.

Also added these hoses. The etch was included but there was no instruction on where to install so I looked into it and found this.

Reference photo.

And mine.

Not 2 far off I thought.

Now for swing arm work.
Cut all the original stuff off and replaced with photo etch.

And the new sensor up top added and wired.

Ok that's it for now. Thanks for looking in guys!

Thanks a lot guys. Yall keep me burning the midnight oil on this one.

So a little more done. Carbon put on and cleared.

And also did some more wiring to the engine and scratch built the electrical box that go's on the block. It's not prefect it needs some rounded parts on it. But this will do. A ton of it is lost once covered anyways...

Well hope your all enjoying as much as I am. More soon.

The p/e stuff.. Im surprised you can even see it, never mind bend the stuff and get it to fit.. That sensor... Oh My... I have a habit of dropping things and If I dropped that It would wind up in the hoover and lost forever!!!
