The end of the year is near, so I had to look in the WIP box for a quick finish.  I started this project many years ago, but the body needed changes, the engine compartment was full of unecessary plastic and the suspension was too toy-like.  So I just decaled it up (as wrong as it is) and called it complete.  The hardest part was making a windscreen for it, since the original was nowhere to be found.

It's an attempt at the 1955 John Zink Special, driven by Bob Sweikart at the Indy 500.

Finished at last!

Something different from what I do but I like it a lot. I'm drawn to how neat the front grill is. Molotow pen?

Gotta love those old kits, turned out great. Nice weathering on the race suit, nice work on the grill. Molotow?

Love these older Indy cars ! If they were more readily available and diverse, I could get into doing them,
This old beauty is COOL !!

Thanks, everyone. The grillwork preceded the release of the Molotow pen - it's good old Bare Metal Foil.

One of very few earlier Indy (or any open wheel!) kits. I was too young to appreciate it whenit came out. Today, I thank you for bringing it to life.
