Based on a humorous short story from the Korean War by Bill Mauldin called "The Affair of the Wayward Jeep" about a California hot rodder, a flathead V8 and a General's Jeep.

For those that asked it is the MPC WWII Jeep. It has been released as several things including "Hogan's Heroes". It has many inaccuracies but is a fun build any way. I think the engine came from the AMT 40 Ford Sedan Delivery. The tires are not right for a military vehicle but the resin spare is the right tread pattern at least. The story describes a pipe front bumper, extra padding in the seats, the general's plate and the siren with red light. The top bows are from an Italeri 1/24 Jeep that is another projects.
