Lower hull assembled. Most of the wheels will be hidden behind the schurzen armour.

The Panzer IV is now assembled. Most of the kit is nice but the rear end had to be modified in order to get the upper and lower hulls to mate properly. Also the rubber tracks are attrocious and if it wasn't for the schurzen armour, it would look unacceptable for me.

The Famo will get a bed full of stowage.

A fantastic build Al, the detail in the kits is stunning.

Thanks Gary.

Got the base Desert Yellow paint laid and appropriate sections gloss clear coated ready for decals.

The decals look to be something of a challenge. They are very small and on the rear bogey, there appears to be not much to attach them too.!!

Really moving along well, Al. Any idea what the intent of those markings was?

Thanks.

I'm not entirely certain Mike but I assume it's to delineate each of the corners for safety reasons.

Interestingly, the box art doesn't have them:

You can see them clearly in this old photo:

Incidentally, the last photo shows just how big the Famo was.

No wonder so many tanks were abandoned instead of towed! Railroads seem a more practical delivery system, of course the rails were usually bombed or blown up!
Truly speedy building on your part. Detailing is fabulous! Even the molded-in pieces are reasonably crisp for such small kits! Dunno how you can turn 'em out so fast and so well done! Well done!

Great progress. Best of luck with the decal placement - but even without them it already looks fantastic!
