Up next is a Revell 77 Firebird.

While looking for a scoop to use with my 57 Ford I ran across two Shelby hoods and thought of an idea to make a Formula style hood for the Firebird.

The extra TA Hood was used as filler.

Here are the 4 scoops cut out of the Shelby Hoods, joined to make two and placed on the now flat firebird hood.

With the putty, fill work on the shaker opening it did not have a sharp center line that was consistent.  To rectify this I added a piece of thin round stock that was molded in.

Here is a shot of the hood in primer with the scoops glued in place and gaps filled with putty. Not an exact match for the Formula but captures the spirit of the style.

D*mn, you're good with plastic! That 'bird was about the last good looking one. I remember a later one with the 4 separated square headlights set deep in the soft nose front. Never went for that look.
