The wheels and tyres are not the best I've ever seen and both are going to need some work. At least they are a good size to work with!!!

There are a fair few sink marks and injection marks on the bonnet and doors to take care of but thankfully nothing major.

I got the seats made up and ready for instalation. The door cards too.

By the looks of the front seats, I think Old Henry invented Flex Seven seating!!! LOL.

I'm on with the interior now and I'm a bit puzzled.

The kit floor has what looks like a rubber mat texture to it but the only decent interior photo I can find, shows carpet at the rear and what looks like rubber mat at the front.

Trouble is, the photo is obviously of a custom so I can't be certain if it would be like that as original factory spec.

Anyone any ideas??

Hmmmmmmmmmmm................... what's all this about then?

It looks like I have some work to do before I can apply the paint.

The remedy was to cut a thin piece of sheet styrene to fit the window surround.

It looks a tad better now methinks!

When the MEK is fully cured, I still have some work to do.

Oh boy! Here we go again. Endless rounds of filling and sanding.

I'm not sure I can pull this off as it's awkward and delicate in them tha corners.!!

It's getting there but is it ever slow, tedious and boring!!!
The most difficult areas are to come too.

I made a bit more progress but I don't do well with repetitive stuff ( filling sanding, repeat ad nauseum......... 'me brain urt's' LOL ) so I may put it aside for a few days again.

Next major job will be the brake and clutch pedals. Methinks this is going to be mega tricky, as it's going to be VERY tight on space and they cannot be installed until the fenders are installed on the chassis and the body installed on the fenders!!!!!

The reason?........... the brake levers pass through the sloping front floor boards.

I must be crazy!!!!

I finally finished sanding back the filled holes in the fender assembly.

I'm not sure the puttywork at the base of the A pillars is good enough for masking up a two tone body paint job:

I couldn't leave the A pillar to cowl joins like that so I did some more tedious work to them. 'Slowly, slowl, catchee monkey'. I'll do some more in a day or two once the primer has cured properly.

This is as good as the body is going to get methinks. I'm just totaly fed up with the endless rounds of filling and sanding in those tight inside curves!!

Now I'm just waiting for the white paint to arrive in a few days. Then I can get cracking on the black and white police paint job!!

I really like the mechanical braking system you are adding to this one. Great detail. Looks like it's ready for paint.

Al: I can really sympathize with you because I'm having a rough time with the 1/24 scale I'm doing. At all happy with the first painting. It is currently in the pond. Gonna be a couple of days before there is anymore progress on it. All I can say about your body work is OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!
