I have a few of the 1/32 Airfix Jaguar XKR GT3s in the stash as I enjoy finishing them in different liveries. As you can probably guess from the title this one will be in Jägermeister colours.

I started off by painting the wheels and brake discs, after which the suspension and wheel arches were fitted to the floor and painted matt black.

The interior parts were painted as per the instructions except for the roll cage which was painted orange.

Speaking of orange, the body was painted next.

More soon.

I agree with Mike.... good choice.

A little tip if I may on painting molded in styrene tyres, something I picked up in doing 1:35 military models.

Most wheels/tyres have a reasonable 'rim' to the wheel. Instead of trying to paint up to that, thin your paint to approx 50:50 and then load the brush generously and let the paint flow to the rim. It will probably take two coats but is well worth the effort IMO.

Actually,in 1/32 they're affordable, ground effects underside pan means lack of suspension is no problem. Congrats on getting a few and good luck!

Thanks for the comments guys. Al, I'll remember that tip about painting the tyres.

I repainted the seat black as I thought the red clashed with the orange. When that and the rest of the detail painting was done the interior was assembled.

The decals went on well. The minor sponsors decals are from an Airfix 1/32 Mini Countryman WRC and the numbers from a 1/72 F-86.

Still a few things to do but I should have it finished in the next day or two.

I finished the Jag a couple of days ago. Another phantom racer to add to my collection.

Love the small scales. Great job brining out the fine details on a sharp bild.
