This is my local classic car show, held every year. This year there were over 900 entries!!!

Here are a few photos to start with. As I refuse to have an offsite host, I'll post more in the coming weeks. (There are 253 of them. LOL

This poor guy in the C type replica, couldn't get it to start when leaving. Spent an hour trying to get it to go.

The oldest car in the show. 1907 Phoenix. German engine, american gear box and the rest is English

Nah! Boring, only 900 classic and post vintage cars. Hardly worth the effort really.

Here's the next batch:

Here it is Gary. Do you know which one it is? And for a bonus point, what was it's wheelbase? It was only produced for two years and was MG's most luxurious car ever.

It is indeed Gary. A Tickford Coupe to be exact. Well done. Only 339 made in 1938/9

Oh! and the wheelbase is 123"...... 6" longer than a Mercedes 500K.

Didn't they have to stop production because of the outbreak of war then never made them again?
Something else to blame on the Germans

That's a new one on me, imagine if MG could have kept on producing cars like that.

I don't really like prewar cars (don't mention the old Rods and Dragsters...) but that's a good looking jam jar Al.

A great selection of notable classics and oddballs of note, indeed. Special thanks for that photo of the Phoenix in the first batch - it definitely provided me with inspiration for the engineering style of the day
