Looking good, Al.

Got the old decals off and primed - no scuffs, no marring.

Currently working on the engine.  AB'ed the trumpets with SpasStix chrome. Placed a couple of fuel lines to the injectors, but they look too straight.   Tried heating the monofilament and it bends much nicer.  I'll be trying that on both bundles next.

The engine is now ready to sit in place. This is the last good look I'll get, as everything gets buttoned up both top and bottom. Now it's on to the front end and getting the body painted.

Thanks Mike.

Good work removing the old decals and the engine is looking sharp.

Looking good Cole. Nice and clean.

Looks like I'm going to have a fit problem. This is going to be the best fit of the bodywork, without gluing it down.

However, if I do glue it down, 90% of the engine detail won't be seen........... UNLESS I cut across across the shut line of the engine cover!!! Oh boy!! Decisions, decisions........... but it's got to be done. Too much effort into the engine, not to do it. Could all go Pear shaped but hey ho!

Is it a matter of warpage in the top section?

Not sure Mike. Warpage, top or bottom, would have been difficult to correct anyway.

Too late now. I went ahead and cut it and what a tough cut it was. Not delicate, I mean actually hard work.!!!

So much so I slipped a tad:

Should fill OK though. (I hope!!) LOL

A fair amount of detail in the tub. The paint scheme calls for semi-gloss black all the way round. But I will try to add some contrast. The tub will be flat black and the roll cage semi-gloss. And the basic paint job for the body.

Coming along well, Cole. Not much you can do with an all-black interior, except maybe adding a drop or two of grey to your black to use on 'handled' parts for contrast.

Got a few things done here.

Tried soaking the factory chromed parts in dishwashing liquid for a couple of days to get the old decals off without harming the factory plating.  Didn't work, so I stripped the chrome and tried to use Alclad, but it just didn't look consistent over large areas.  So I BMF'd the front spoiler and polished it.

Motor is done, with exhaust and fuel lines attached.

Painted the body white beneath the decal areas because I'm not very good with compound curves and decals.

I have a slight touchup atthe bottom rear, here.

Chassis is coming along, too.

Everything seems to be coming together quite well, now.

Thanks for looking and for the comments,
Mike

Fabulous, what are you use using for fuel lines?

Great progress Mike. Everything is looking very sharp.

The tub is finished for NSX.

Fuel lines are monofilament fishing line. Tricky to use - you have to apply heat to get the bends you want. And now I see one of the lines has popped off the injector.

Cole: The interior turned out fantastic. The blacks don't look very monotone.
