I was woken up by a Spitfire flying over the Goodwood Marriott hotel last time I was flush and at the Revival.

Best wake up call I ever heard! You don't often hear V12 engines flying around at a few hundred feet!

a few years back i was at the RAF Waddington Airshow.........i was this close to a Spit, the Lanc and just out of the pic a Hurricane........started them all up at once for the display.....Glorious noise!! 6 Merlins!
