Thanks for that very useful information. The coils on mine are actual springs so I'm thinking of compressing them down and superglueing them in the correct stance.

Or you could cut them down like they used to do with real ones back in the day.

Sorry, I missed your question as well Mr.H.

IIRC the springs really don't support the car and do nothing for ride height, that's why I swapped sides with the spindles. The swap put the car at what I think is a good looking height.

The rear of the car sits too high as well IMO but this is a more difficult fix. Lowering the car in the back puts the rear tires too far up into the wheel houses. So to look correct the openings need to be raised up just a fuzz. The rear air extractors also get in the way and would need to be notched a little.

I will look for some build pictures when I get home tonight. There was a detailed thread on eScale but that documentation died with the website unfortunately...

Hope this helps.

Some excellent information SR65. I'll certainly take everything you've said on board. Many thanks.

Nice work on the engine David, it's looking good.

Thanks for the info on the suspension Mitch, it should help when I get back to mine.

Fantastic work all around. It's almost a shame to hide it under the hood!

And it's an ancient kit that doesn't really want to play ball with you.

I've made the ignition coils and a little cradle for them.
