And now for something completely different !

After a few years of a certain someone, who will not be named  (SHAY !!) kept on, and on, and on, for me to build a hotrod, so here goes .....

And another thing I've never tried is finger nail polish, and not just any finger nail polish, but one with a metal flake in it, hopefully it will work out o.k

Started it later today after getting the Citroen 2cv finished, removed a few fine mold lines and re-scribed the panel lines, got the engine started and the seats fitted together, and started on the interior and got the wheels and tyres built, so far, a nice little kit to put together.

Looking very forward to this one! The only thing I'd be concerned about is the metal flake polish through an airbrush - I've been told that it can cause issues depending on the size of the flakes.

Yes the flake didn't get through the needle that well, even using the #5 set up on the Passche H, i ended trying a gold nail Polish with a smaller flake in it, even though it worked, you could see the primer through it, so it needs to be airbrushed over a gold or silver base, sadly the body is in the stripper, I'll get back to it in a few days, hopefully round two will grt better results

You didn't do the spoon test?

I'm amazed you went straight at the shell Geoff, new paint medium and all.

Too bad about the paint. I thin the crap out of the nail polish with Acetone and strain the glitter out of it with a reusable Kureg cup.

Sorry to hear about the setback with the paint/polish. Curt's sig seems to be the appropriate thing to say (see above).

Got it airbrushed this morning, a few dust nibs that needed wet sanding out, the paint must have been a bit thin onbtge rear wing, so ended up blowing the whole body over again, not a bit of dust in sight, so I'm planning on getting a couple of coats of clear coat on it Friday.

Got the clearcoat done this morning, i won't have much time to spend invthe hobby room now until Monday, which will give it plenty of time to dry up

Once dry it will be wet sanded and polished

As I'm going to be busy over the weekend and not a lot to do today I thought I would make a start on the polishing, so far I've got the roof panel finished
