The flag has dropped and the challenge is on.

Here are the rules:

1. No new kits are allowed. Only failed kits and parts box parts are allowed.
2. No after market parts are allowed.
3.Let your imagination run wild.
4.Weaponry is desirable but not essential.
5. Have fun.
6. Your Wacky Racer must bear a race number.

One quick question. I'm assuming scratch building is allowed? I didn't see it mentioned so I just want to be sure.

It was allowed in the past builds.

As much scratch building as you like Dan.

The emphasis is on fun.

Cool. I figured scratch building was allowed. This is my first Dick Dastardly challenge.

Here's some stuff that I have gathered up to try to get something. A big over the road truck cab and engine. The P-51 Mustang prop is missing one of the blades that I'll have to scratch up a replacement for. I'm gonna give it a go

*copied from other thread* It is with great sadness that I must decline this round ... I went hunting for some of the boxed stash I thought I had and can't find it, lol. I thought for sure I had an old 1/24 AC Cobra and a Gundam robot that were parts-bound but all attempts to locate them has met with failure.

Too bad Kats. If we had more time I would have scrounged up some stuff and sent it your way. Next year hopefully.

Here is the junk I am starting with, my challenge,  and this is alway my biggest hurdle keeping it simple.

Yesterday, I scratched a replacement for the missing propeller blade and started on a shroud for it.

Ah a prop driven machine, nice Clay.

Not being happy with the 1/72 scale of the B52 I started with I chopped out the top of the fuselage with the intent of make it into a 1/24 scale two seater speeder thingie but couldn't quiet vision it. So I chopped the top off a 1/48 scale Liear jet and will go with this, a party/race barge thingie. I still have a number of propulsion devises to add and lots of grafting, filling and sanding.

Squeezed in a couple of quick sessions at the bench, I have worked out the drive for the prop.

Not making much progress for the moment. We have to have these finished by the end of the month ??
This is the planned direction this may go.

Thanks for checking in and for the props Kats.

Looking good Clay, how are ya making out?

Some small progress tonight for me. Tank, F1 and moto GP parts cobbled together to build the these bits. Might be a rough finish.

That's the true spirit of the DDC Curt. I love it.

Looking good Clay. Yes, end of December is the finish time.

Sorry I haven't been able to join in guys, a family issue is making it difficult for me to do so.

I will finish, but not in the allotted time. Had a Santa's workshop project to do for a grandson, and problems while Shazz is recovering from her operation has kept me pretty hopping. Close to getting back to the bench. but I WILL finish !!

Thanks for looking in Al and for the kind words. Cool looking stuff Clay.

Sorry I didn't make it to the finish line Al. I have been side lined with my back, been flat on it in the launch position since last Thursday.
Lying on my back with a stack of 3 main cushions under my calfs, (not the little accent one but the actual cushions) I am liturally sittting as if you would be in a rocket.

I'll get it done Al.

very cool ideas and builds gents.

Curt buddy...take care of that back. Many times I have to try to sleep with pillows under my knees to help take the pressure off my spine...you dont want to end up like me.

Just finish them when you can guys.

I'm just sorry I couldn't join in myself but my wife's ill health issues come first.
