Thanks for the interest guys. Al and Curt thanks for the input. I'm going to give a couple of techniques a try today on scrap. I'll post photos of the results later in the week. SWMBO is having carapace surgery tomorrow so going to be tied up all day.

Carapace surgery? Thought that was an insects shell. Hope it's nothing major. Send her my best wishes.

Sorry about the delay guys.  The wife has quickly recovered from her eye surgery and all is well with her.  I, on the other hand, managed to have a TIA (ministroke) about a week and a half ago.  I have had two strokes in the past ten years and a number of TIAs, but have been lucky in that I have little residuals.  My only apparent problem is a short term memory loss and a minor speech defect.  I just keep in mind that "getting old aint for sissies."

Anyway, this week I have completed an experimental finish for the weathered BRONCO.

I personally am happy with #4.  I think it pretty well replicates the paint on the 1/1.  As it turned out this is the easiest to do also.  If there is interest, I will do a short tutorial as I build the model.  That's it for now.  Hopefully I will be able to make some progress this week.

I agree John #4 looks the part.

Sorry to learn of your recent ministroke, glad your wife is good and you are trooping on.

BTW, you did mention in our recent SKYPE that you would be sending a half dozen surprise kits my way.

Just wanted to remind you since your memory isn' t what is was, sorry John I couldn't resist.

Be well my friend.

Can't wait to see this come together, and yes tutorial please.
