Well time has come to finish the basement proper. This affords me the opportunity to make my model room even bigger.

I'll rebuild the spray booth, making the exhaust flow much better then it currently does.
Make a proper photo booth, add another bench for casting/molding, a peg board to hang my detail stuff and plastic building stuff, and add shelves to display my stash. I don't know about you guys but I really dig seeing all the kits on display like a shop.

Here is a shot of the rough framing.

Looks like you have a nice footprint there.  I admit to being a bit green with envy as my work zone is about the size of one of those floor mats, lol.  Can't wait to see what you do with the space, but if I see lots of globs of plasticine being laid over primer I will be a bit concerned

Thanks guys.

Lol Kats.

I can empathize with your space Kats. About 6yrs ago my build room was in a decommissioned sauna, which was exactly 7ftx7ft. I didn't mind at all. We make do with what we have.

Upon further planning and thought I have decided the space you see will not be my model room. Too much room and too much fiddling around with plumbing to make it work.

It will however be finished as our workout room/man cave and will be my interim work area while I redo my current area, which already has all the plumbing in place. It just makes more sense, why reinvent the wheel so to speak. My current space will get some tweaking to make it more efficient.

Lol It is big enough to park a couple minis. The challenge is getting them in and out.
