This is part of a CB. It started life as an Evily bay salvage purchase.
Since this kit has been done to death and I like to do things a bit different I am going to do it up Halloween theme style.

If your interested you can follow my post/build updates here.

Thanks for checking it out guys.

Thanks guys, it's been fun. It's on hold for a bit while I get a plan (with a twist) built for the current CB.

Really enjoyable build Curt. Are the springs in the kit or have you made them?, they look spot on.

Thanks Gary, yes I mad the springs. Got the spring/rocker assembly attached today. Also got the wheels finished and the "colour" base down for the shell.

The wheels look brilliant Curt, the body shell looks stunning and the red makes the springs 'pop'.

Gary, Clay thanks for taking the time to check this wacky build out, and for the supportive comments.

From the very first time I saw this kit back in 92 I had always planned on painting the dotted lines this livery is famous for.

I have started on this arduous journey of cutting 272 individual pieces, (according the decal count) each one has the dim of a width of 1.14mm and a length of 3.32mm.

After cutting lengths the required width from a length of tape  this is the method I have come up with for cutting the individual lengths. No idea how long this is going to take.

Thanks for looking in.

WOW.  I like the wackyness of it.  Like the others have said the chassis has nice detail.  What is the reflective color?  Alclad?

Thanks guys. It has been fun, given that Halloween has passed I think it will be more of a Walking Dead thing now.
Paul yes it is Spaz Stix, they have changed the formula it doesn't take clear as well as the original formula. I decided to clear coat the shell do to the amount of handling it will have to endure with applying all the dashes.
The old formula would hold the chrome look, the new formula turns silver, very disappointing.

Tonight's update:

Well I managed to get 230 some odd dashes of the 270 some odd dashes required cut yesterday. Tonight I started putting them in place. No idea how long this is going to take. This bit took about 30-40min.

More tedious dash progress. This will be the last update until the next step in the paint progress.

Thanks Gary.

I finished up the placing of the dashed today. How I achieved a "straight" line and even spacing was I laid a strip of 1/8 vinyl pin stripping mask for an edge guide then used the width guide I had used when cutting the dashes. The space between them is the same as their width.

As for the actual lining up and running of the dashes, I took liberty and did them slightly differently then the actual livery.

You must look closely at the real car or the kit to notice this.  The dashes that run from the front fenders across the roof and down the back of the car do not run in a straight line. I have run mine in one "straight" line. I have made other small changes too so the lines run straighter.

Next step will be a clear seal coat then the colour masking and the real fun begins.

So are the dashes going to be the chrome silver?

I sure hope you are using candies for the color on the rest of it because it would be a shame to just paint over that nice base.

My only rub on this whole build are the zombie heads... would of left those off

but then that's what makes this a Curt build not a Mitch build...

Thanks Gary, appreciate it.

Lol Mitch, cheers. Yes I am using candy orange and candy green, thus the chrome silver base.
