It do but it aint.

Just go onto ebay's home page and type in Javis Battle Zone and you will find quite a variety. They are a war gaming thing which equates to 1:72/1:76. Cheap too at £5.50

Don't know if you scheduled this CB accordingly, but this month marks the 100th anniversary of the introduction of tank warfare at the Battle of the Somme.

The Dragon kit has great detail, but it does come at a price. Mask, burnish, trim X 40.

The PE for the air intake. The inlet screen has great detail as does the cover and inner slats. It took a bit of a beating forming it to the plastic, but I will mark it off as wear & tear/battle damage.

I guess it's fitting that I'm building a WW1 tank then.

I got into such a groove painting and assembling the undercarriage, that I didn't take any progress pics.  So here is the completed road wheels and tracks.

I've made a bit of progress on the Elefant.

A typical Tamiya kit; good fit, good instructions, lots of small parts, etc.  I will be able to complete assembly of the hull in the next day or so, but then will have to wait for the arrival of the Zimmerit.  While waiting I'll get the treads ready and get some more done on Ruth's Place.

Thanks Cole.  This kit is very detailed inside.  I'll have to leave everything open to see it though.

Nice P/e work Cole!

The tracks look great Paul as does the interior, if a bit too pristine methinks!!

Nice start John, don't forget to break out the weathering powders.

The base I bought, turned out to be a bit too narrow for the width of the Sturmtiger, so I'm going to make my own:

I've also ordered some Das modelling clay which I'm going to use to have a bash at making loose bricks with:

It will be heavily weathered Al. This is going to be meant to be the last couple of months of the war on the eastern front. The Elefant will be placed on a base partially hidden in trees as if waiting to ambush the Russians. I haven't made up my mind if it will be snowing or not.

Part two. Revell Sd.Kfz.164 "Nashorn". Braille scale.

It's narrow enough to fit the base I bought recently:

The bbc radio show "witness" had a 10 minute segment on the first use of tanks in battle. In 1916 they were indeed something new. Here's the link to the episode http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0475912#play.

Very nice work Al. It appears much larger and detailed than the scale alone would suggest.

Wow Al....you're really moving along.

Spent some time getting interior details together.  The machine gunners each have a seat assembly.  Very fiddly.

I also got a machine gun assembly line going.  6 repetitions of each.

You are really leaving the rest of us in the dust Al. Can't believe your eyes can see to detail this latest one. I know it's well beyond mine.

I use a magnifier John, this is it...............

It's also the reason why I'm building a stash of 1:16th and larger models too!!

Paul (beo)...... break out the hairy sticks!!!!! LOL

Paul (2whl)...... those seats do look tricky but it looks like a nicely detailed kit.
