I have the carbs on and plumbed up and cut down a radiator.

I am determined to have this hood scoop.

And now comes the usual expected setbacks. For clearances, I had to come up with something to clear the blower pulley after cutting the hole in the hood for the induction. I used a headlight shell. Still could not get the hood down. Next was to  take off the nicely plumbed carb setup and replace it with a smaller set from the salvage, I still could not get the hood down. It was hitting the radiator now. If I raise the stance slightly, it will all work. I really wanted this lower. but I guess I'll live with what I have here.

I was wondering if the offset pulley blister was making the scoop look a little crooked, So I covered tit with a piece of tape and sure enough, I have the scoop a little skewed ! Oh, well, it is what it is. I just won't photograph it from dead on the front,

Awesome work going on! I wouldn't sweat the asymmetry too much, after all this is a custom job not a factory roll off. White is a good colour for this style, but I gotta say that the 'overspray' on the side of the body looks cool. Not cool enough to be the actual paint job but interesting. Looking forward to seeing the developments.

The scoop turned out great. Really looking forward to seeing the paint work on this.

I'm still in the game.
I have re-coated the white base, and while that is curing, I'm practicing and girding my loins to deface it with some hand applied graphics. Using a body from the salvage to try stuff out on !

Looking fine so far. Seeing more models painted white lately brings some appreciation for the color. Your "freehand" work reminds me of past builds. Keep going, enjoy the warm sun as we begin to get cold up north!
