I have two orphan candidates for the pro street tires.

The '57 looks good, but my penchant for older cars will probably lead me to the '51.
I think I can get what's  glued on the '51 apart. There is no engine. The axles on the  left side are broken off. That's probably why it was abandoned by the previous owner.

Either is good, but I'd like to see a 57 Pro Street.

Found a new frame still on the sprue !!  Snagged the front clip parts.

After thinning the front fenders from a scale 1 foot thick, I have the front clip spliced to the 51's frame.
I relocated the rear frame  somewhat inboard to make room for the pro-street wheels and added a strip to the outer edge of the wheel wells to fill the gap.

Found a decent engine to rebuild that came apart rather easily !

A rear end cobbled together. It's not pretty, But  a view from the sewer is not my strong suit !

Getting back to this build. I had plenty of blower belts in the stash, but fronts/waterpumps were scarce, but I found a combination that I think I can bugger up.

The hump wouldn't clear the big tranny, so I found this. I think it's from one of the funny cars. I have the main engine parts together.

Figuring out how to make things fit is always a hassle. The development looks good

Engine is in. It's up on wheels. Now, to start playing.
This is going to be way too cool to have a stock grill, so, I found this whatever it is, in the salvage. I like it better than the stick one.

Good progress Clay, it looks very much like a grill from a '53.
