I tried to post this twice Sunday but it wouldn;t take. Tryin'again.
Time to check out another of the recent orphans that arrived at Geezer's Garage.
This looked very promising in the baggie it arrived in. It had some assembly started.
There's not a bed with it.

I soon discovered that it had been glued VERY well with some type of plastic melting stuff ( Maybe MEK ?). Any way, I wasn't going to get it dissembled. I had to butcher the interior tub to try to save the frame. That is the major reason that few of my builds will have a 'sewer' view. Here, I have the frame isolated, and I will save the running boards and risers. The engine was nice, but I won't be able to save it good enough for  a rework.
Thinking about making it a slammed curbside even though I have quite a few other engines I could use,
I am really thankful that the previous owner didn't get to the cab or front clip. That's about the only reason I'm going forward with this.

Had a GOOD session at the salvage yard today. I managed to save this set of wheels and tires. The really exciting part for me is that the rear tires are pro-street ! I don't usually abandon a build for another, but having these tires might make me look at another 'orphan' that will be good enough to build a serious engine for.

Nice start, too bad about the over glue issue though. I like the look of the blown engine too, probably lots of room for it under that ample hood

I think I'm going to shelve this for now.
