This is the Rolls that shares the driveway with a 1947 MG TC racer. It's a 1/32 scale Life Like kit (I think it is the same mold as the Pyro). I built it way back in 1979!! It has survived countless moves and earthquakes, including a number 7. The hood ornament was missing for about 20 years but I found it again.

Nice, Ace. Gotta love those old Pyro wire wheels from the 60's, huh?

Excellent job! I really like this. I am strangely drawn to your photo of the back seat. It looks very moody for some reason, must be the light.

Big thank you for these two 1/32 scale ones.  Perhaps not as good as larger 1/25th, but that makes them special too.  The Rolls kit looks less "real" than the MG, as wire wheels and a sort of blockiness to the body gives it a toy appearance.  That said, Rolls models aren't that common, so each one had particular interest. Doing the wire wheels in black helps minimize the poor quality of design.  Good work, decades ago.

Thanks for all the great comments! I'm rather pleased with how the rear interior photo came out myself but it was sort of accidental. I couldn't get the flash bulb and the lens pointed through the window at the same time so I pointed a lamp through the opposite window and got the sort of moody sun light effect. One of the best gifts I ever got was my daughter gave me a tiny table top tripod for my camera and a pair of tiny studio lamps.

The MG is a more sophisticated kit (Matchbox) but I had to ditch the windscreen (and make it a racer) because it was so clunky and out of scale. They both have multiple piece bodies not for the faint of heart!

Great job for such a small scale and old kit.

Very classy and in remarkable shape after almost 40 years

And what Mr. Hirakawa said about that rear seat shot - for me I got a real 'film noir' hit off of it.
