I've never used this mob,no connection either. The VE Monaro & Torana interest me the most, but the Mk 1 Corrie would appeal to our British
members.

Thats interesting Chris, thanks for posting. Stupid question alert but how would you know which
Chassis/running gear to get?, or are they just replacement bodies for Cortina etc kits?

They look very well made.

Interesting Chris. Thanks for posting.

Gary.... the Mk1 Cortina has a wheelbase of 98" so you could use a Revel/Esci Mk2 Escort but you'd need to lengthen the floor pan by a scale 3.5" (3.5mm) as the Escort's wheelbas is 94.5"

Gary, if you know platform is shared in the 1:1 version you can go from there. The 2010 and up Camaro share the platform of the Holden VE Commodore, so that would be the donor kit. Al's covered the Escort/Cortina donor.
The Torana is more difficult, its platform goes back to the HB Viva

The HB Viva has a wheelbase of 95.75" so I'm guessing the Torana could be underpinned by the escort chassis when lengthened by 1.25mm. You may even get away without mods.

Al, the Torana is a 6 cylinder with a longer wheel base than the Viva. Double wishbone front and 4 link & coils on the rear, versus struts and cart springs on the Escort. Not sure what would be the best donor, the Trumpeter Nova gives a 6 cylinder engine, but the suspension is still wrong.

Cheers,

Chris
