Hi all off to hunstanton over the weekend so no modeling, but this is what I'm thinking for the interior of this, do you think it will go with the silver or should I do some orange or gold hi lights, also should I leave it as cloth or satin finish it.

I think that will look great. Not sure about the finish, if its leather a satin clear?

I think satin finish would help. The paint on the door seems not equal in depth (darker and lighter areas). The problem with a satin finish is what it might do to the silver you've already done. Last, the small inset square in the black of the door...if it's the door opener, maybe it should be a different color, silver? The rest of the kit look to be coming along nicely, thanx!

One trick that worked for me years ago was to 'buff' matte paint with a dry polishing cloth, this helped to 'shine' the surface ever so slightly without making it shiny.

Whatever you decide, though, it's looking good!

Hi all well I've made a bit of a booby on this, tried polishing the paint to get a better shine and on the side I polished through to the primer a bit so will have to get some more pound land silver, anyway here is the latest update.

This kit seems to be going together very well, all seems to be a good fit, I must admit she's a beautiful looking car, not really surprising it was designed at the peak of American car design, before all car manufacturers started to build cars that were indistinguishable from their rivals, I love this period and before when you could tell one car from another at 300 yards, whereas nowadays you have to get within 10 feet to tell if it's a Ford or a Citroën.

Nice interior. Funny that model companies usually do a great job with "big" scale interiors, but sometimes cut corners on detailing engines well. Best of luck on the rest of this one!

Hi all nearly there now, I know the tyres are a bit narrow but they are all I have to fit those rims.

I was lucky and found a set of the Goodyear Polyglass GT tires from an original issue on eBay.

Stunning work. I think the tires are okay. In 1969 we didn't have big tires. Red Line Polyglass were the hot setup and they were hard and had no traction. Fun and easy to spin though.
