Hi all well I'm enjoying the 1/8 hot rod immensely and I think it has rekindled my mojo so I've made a start on this

(still not confident enough to do any more to my ships) firstly a warning to all, careful how you stack your stash, this was OK when I put it away but there were 4 heavyish kits on it.

Those who know me will know I hardly ever do as the box art.

That's shame about the roof, nice recovery on it. Great subject.

I have had my eye on this kit ever since it was reissued.

That's a great build. I considered getting this kit so that I could attempt to cram more detail into a larger build but I think the fact that the doors don't open put me off. I'll be watching this closely non the less.

Hi all I've had a blue Peter moment with this kit, I've heard of bmf and thought maybe i could make some.

Take a reel of double sided sticky tape and stick it to the back of some bacofoil

Cut from the tape side (the foil all rucks up if you try it from the foil side.

I just wish I could find some decent wheels. I hate the Foose wheels and I've never been fond of Ralley wheels

Hi all I need some help choosing wheels, there are 3 sets in the kit and I've put the gt 500 wheels with it too.
For easiness please just say 1,2,3 or 4

Great paint!!!!  I agree, last set seems appropriate to a stock model.  If you lowered it or wanted it as a wknd racer or street racer, wide-looking "no side wall" tyres would work as well. Foose look isn't my thing.  Did I type tyres?  I think I'm turning Britainese!

Hi all well my son came round today for a bbq (his sisters birthday) and I showed him this he said there's only one colour scheme for a camaro and that's black and yellow, I said no this is the older version but he gave me a lecture about how at the beginning of the film he had the older version it only transformed to the new on later in the film. Anyway it's my model and this is how it's staying, here's tonight's bit.

They are $70 US and the kit does come with a tunnel ram and dual carbs but they did not include the slicks that originally that came with the kit. You can find the slicks on eBay but people want $30 US just for the slicks.

Love the paint on the body! The engine and firewall look absolutely fantastic! I'd go with #3 for the wheels but I'm biased towards what we used to call 'Corvette show rims.' Can't wait to see more!

Hi all the engine is complete, I must say this is a really great kit, part fit is good, the chrome plating is also very good, and the detail is excellent, I would recommend this to anyone.
