Marder II, 1/35. Tamiya

had this kit in the stash for about 9 years......about time it got built!

its a very old kit, was new tool back in 1971!!

im going to do it oob, nothing fancy , .......maybe lol

Looks like a nice kit Paul, the figures seem really good, even the 'Im a little teapot' guy lol.

nope just the two colour.........base colour was dark yellow and units were issued green and/or reddish brown to use how ever they wanted, to apply how ever they can, so fortunatly for us there isnt a set pattern like there is these days and ive seen pics of panzers with single colour stripey pattern so i thought my not

ive given it all a coat of future so tomorrow i can do the decals, then day after start with a wash

its had two oil washes and a coat of matt varnish over the top

i was planning on doing some more washes but i think its grimey enough and i dont like to see it over done

so the plan is to build it up and then have a go at it with some mud on the tracks/underneath

Beautiful paint! Totally agree with the pacing of the weathering, better to wait until the tracks are on before deciding how much needs to be added.

i scratched up some cargo under a tarp, splodged some mud on using mig pigments and glue

all in all a really enjoyable kit
