PostSubject: D&D Miniature 'The Green Knight'   Fri 20 May 2016, 8:43 pm

Back a long time ago I used to paint these little mini-figs used in role playing games.  Most of the time it was groups of soldiers and such for stuff like WarHammer 40k.  This one was a 'deluxe' miniature, quite pricey and hefty and the detail was gorgeous so I had to have it.  All the paintwork was done with regular brushes and the banner/flags were made from blank white adhesive labels.  The base is white 'ashtray sand' mixed with clear epoxy and built up around the original plastic stand base.  Years later, this is the only miniature I still have kicking around.  Hope you like it.

Great work, especially the striping on the reins. If I had the room I could get into table top gaming miniatures. Been looking at the Perry minis and Warhammer.

Nice, I used to be into these sort of things then I found out that applying plate and chain mail painting techniques to an engine block looked perfect.

Figures are okay, though usually emphasis tends to be on careful superfine brush work. If made of metal material it's less likely a figure will be altered, sliced, customized. To me they are more a painting challenge than a constructing one in many instances.
