I guess so Mike. Scalemates has it dated to sometime in the 1970's.

This one arrived to-day:

However all was not well, as when I opened it I found this:

.... despite it being advertised as new.

However, a polite message to the eBay seller brought a swift response and a 50% reduction. It was already on a good price at £34.00, but now it's an absolute steal at just £17.00. (Shipping too was cheap by US standards, at just £13.00)

All of this through the Global Shipping Programme so it also included import tax.

I've been looking at this on ebay for some time, but prices are high for a 1/72 scale aircraft. I finally got one for $50.

When it arrived today, I see why it gets a high price.  The box is huge.  There are 9 parts trees with almost 500 pieces.  Also, there are 3 full 10"x14" lozenge decal sheets (with cutting pattern transparencies) plus a markings decal sheet. The actual wingspan of 139 ft scales down to just under 2 feet!

This will be awesome!

More promos via ebay.

'61 Pontiac Tempest. Needs full strip, replate & restoration.
'88 Buick Reatta. New, will get the full paint & detail- well as much as possible on curbside kit.
'96 Olds Intrigue. Ditto.
'97 Olds Aurora. Ditto

The two Olds have a one piece chassis, but its well moulded & detailed.
Watch this space, but don't hold your breath!

Cheers,

Chris

I picked up a few kits at the Scale Model World show at Telford over the weekend.

DSCF9108 by timothy jones, on Flickr

Quite a few bargains. The Mini, Aston and Hornet were £5.00 each, Hummer & Camaro £12.00 each, Fruit Wagon £16.00, Li'l Gasser & '65 Grand Prix £18.00 each, Bad Company £22.99. All these were new & sealed, amazing prices for the AMT kits which are normally over £30.00 each.

I also got 18 assorted cans of Tamiya spray paints for £35.00 and a set of decals for Roger Clark's Cossack Escort.

I did so well selling kits last week-end, that I decided to re-invest by buying a toolbox.
