Mike ... love the colour combo

Paul .. nice and tidy cab ... what colour we having it?

My progress is ...

Made a diff out of the gearbox part of the beetle and utilised the drive shaft and suspension

Got the front suspension made up and about the right height

What it looks like for stance and suchlike

Wheels are some nice jobbies from a 2 in 1 kit

Thought i'd give the MOT boys a bit of a nightmare this time :)

Interior looks OK now it's together ..

That is looking well smart Colin. The engine looks like it was born up front.

I think maybe you should lower the front end if possible as it looks a bit high to me. Also re-profile the leading edge of the front wings.

Mine's on hold for a short while guys.

I'm in the process of moving everything back into my new modelling room, so the bench upstairs is out of action and the new one isn't quite ready yet.

The guy is coming to do all the computer wiring in there to-day too.!!

Back up and running in a few days.

Colin, great progress, that V8 fits in there quite nicely.

Looking forward to seeing more from this cool GB. Keep it up guys.

Must just be the photo as it sits level looking at it on the shelf here.

Done .. i've leeched the front edge forward giving same space around the tyre all round.

Paul - Progress is progress, it's looking good too!

Colin - I like the look of it. I take it the back of the cab will be a little recessed under the roof? Nice wheels!

Well thought about it for 3 seconds and came up with this..

Here is the chassis with a measure..

A mockup with the body, might not use this shell though......

Might use this shell cut down, also might do it as another Dakar vehicle..

Go for it, Nigel. Gotta love those 1/25 scale tires.  LOL

Colin: Nice blue.

I was having a bit of a problem with fit of the cab on the chassis.  No matter how hard I squeezed, the cab wouldn't join up right.

Ended up being something with the seat bottom.  When I removed it the cab set nicely.  Since the seat bottom was a tight fit between the door cards, I left it loose, put the cab on, then adjusted the tight fit a bit - it won't go anywhere. Still a bit of a gap on the hood fit - Oh well.

Now I remember how I fixed the problem with the cab fit. I had the same small gap with the hood, no sure you can getaway from it tbh.
It's looking really good.

Colin - That's a pretty dark blue, looking smooth.

Nigel - You whacky cat! Using a van to turn it into a pick up. I love it! Will it have a baby bed?
