The engine and bed look great Mike. May I suggest the exhaust manifold should be a rust colour?

Great work Colin... it looks like it will work out well.

One little issue that could bite me in the bum is that i'm having to make up the cockpit quite a bit so as to get the position of the seats and work out where to cut the bulkhead to fir the v8 in

square peg - round hole at the mo.

will have to cut and chop then make a new centre consul type thing for the interior methinks

Interesting ideas. The idea of stretching definition of truck really brought out wild ideas! Re: vw bug, I read about it's earliest days in the U.S.. The man with the New York City franchise used to complain, "I have to sell a Nazi car in a Jewish town!" It sold anyway.

The back end looks like a great fit.  The front will be interesting.
Nice work, Colin.

I got the black on the bottom half and fit the grill.

Dang Colin! I expected the bed to be at front! Seriously the rough draft is looking pretty good.

Mike - The black fenders look A1.

Hmmmm

well just so i don't disappoint ....

I've shaved some of the bottom bit, widened the middle wall thing and cut out a bit of the top flappy bit so the sticky-up bit of the motor fits in.

that did actually cross my mind to open out the front and have a shallow bed in there as something completely different .... might do it as a second one in this community build

And mike ... that is some nice shiney black paint you got going on there ... looks great against the chrome

Oooooo! a six wheel Pug pickup. It doesn't get much more off the wall than that!!!

Nice job on the engine Colin, neat fitting too.

I've had a lot going on in this last week but I have the paint and clear coats laid tonight. Needs another coat of clear to get full gloss.

Andy - I can't wait to see more of the 6 wheeler. Great idea!

Colin - The mods are looking great and the engine seems to be right at home, which I wouldn't have expected.

Al - Nice colours and paint scheme.

Interior wall is in and steering wheel, gear lever and handbrake all in.

just the door cards to add, used some 1mm nail-art tape to give a little accent around the inner panels... levers are just gunmetal paint

Nice, Colin.  Doesn't look like any mods from the interior view.

Me, I'm still trudgin' along.  Started assembling the interior half on the floor and half in the cab.
