time to crack on with this Hilux

its taken time cos ive been having problems getting a decent coverage with the paint i wanted to use...........twice its been in brake fluid to be stripped......in the end i went out and bought a fresh rattle can of red and used that instead of the airbrush

got the glass in so hopefully now it will all go together quite quickly

Paint looks good Paul. When you sprayed the decanted paint, did you thin it? The reducer evaporates when decanting paint causing orange peel. I am sure you already know this just wanted to bring it to light.

what i was trying was Vallejo Air thro the AB but for some reason it went down rather thin and pooled and didnt look a nice colour anyway

in the end i just did it the old fashioned way straight out of the rattle can lol

I'm glad the Hilux is finally off the bench. Of the design, the little wheel arch extensions idea seems inspired by the Jeep ones. Black added to the gray interior helps take bland look away and emphasizes the seat inserts. Nice job overall!

Nice one Paul.

Oh joy of joys!! Somewhere between moving from my temporary desk upstairs, to moving back into my modelling room downstairs, I appear to have lost the bonnet for this one.!!

So, unless it turns up sometime, it's back in the box I'm afraid.
