Clay,
Can you explain the Ardun heads, I can undertand OHC heads being made, but were they actual Hemi type heads with a hemispherical combustion chamber?

I ask because the sparkplug location makes it look like a Chrysler Hemi.

http://www.ardun.com/ardun_histrory.htm

There is a good explanation of the Heads and how and why they were built.

Clay it's outstanding. I'd like to point it down the strip one time and see what it would do.

Buck has that question covered. Common mistake I've seen when a modeler puts a set of Ardun heads on a flathead, is not changing to 4 port exhausts.

ARDUN heads would've had a bigger impact (and name) if technology had been better earlier and over head valve engines, Chrysler products, Olds light weight V-8 and the Cadillac, hadn't come on the market in the '50s. Cost of the new heads and upgrading of the rest of flathead engines put the heads well beyond affordability of modest rodders.

Right, so they're push rod hemi engines, I thought it was an Overhead Cam type of modification.

Thanks for the info Gentlemen.

Digging the digger Clay. I really like those air filters and the plumbing.
