White yellow red Andy.

Thinking of a metallic purple with the graduated pinstriping, should look OK ....

Whilst waiting for the body paint to go off fully i started on the bike.

The crossbar was a little deformed but a bit of styrene tube sorted that, gave it a quick blast with some white primer and rubbed it down, quite a few little blemishes on these two parts.

but it looks ok when the purples on

decent metallic, was off to buy some then i remembered i did a pickup in this colour ... doh .... but money saved.

Parts of the bike, the seats got the same leather effect as the car interior for continuity, need to wire the engine a little just for that extra "look"

got the pinstriping on the trailer, then a coat of lacquer to stop the top coat bleeding under....

This is a bit of a test bit as i dont know how the pinstripe will react to the paint etc, or indeed if will just rip the bottom coat off .... first try!!

The bike is looking good Colin, nice wash on the seat. Not sure the red strip goes.

It's not a stripe Curt, it's the pinstriping tape that will hopefully give a graduated white/yellow/red line when it's all over sprayed with metallic purple.

Just got to paint the frame of the bike black then I can put it all together.

Thanks for looking in mate :)

Hi Colin,

Very nice effect Sir, I first thought you where going to leave it as the fade but with a solid colour pinstripe, this looks sweet...

Thanks chaps..

Much happier now i've tidied up some of the red and corrected a couple of white edges with a brush.

The bike is done and even though its lacking in things like lenses and levers etc it doesn't look too bad, i am considering adding a tank cap though

I did add some cables for brake, speedo, clutch and drop HT leads in though

Here it is on a tidied up trailer.

Now to peel the pinstripe tape off the main body and either curse or sigh with relief.

And i've just noticed i didn't finish the front fork assembly off, it's half gloss, should be matt black ....DOH !!!!!

Much better than the basic kit. Your skill is clear with the improvements you made. Thank you!

Looking really good Colin. The only thing I would do is tighten up the brake cable a bit if it's not too late.

Its was all glued in and set, so a little late, i have however managed to bend all the cables a little into a more acceptable "look"

The cars done .... just had a mass blast on finishing it off..

Will be hoping for a nice dry day to get some piccies in natural daylight tomorrow, the metallic in the purple looks much better outside.

That paint suits the part of a custom from that era much better then the kit box art.

Yup, paint is so creative and well done on everything. Engines are detailed to equal the paint quality. Congrats on one kit I had my doubts on. It is a sensation, no kidding!!!!

Often times I find that kind of build to be the same as everyone else's but you really pulled off something different and well done.

I'm enjoying this one Colin. Reminds me of some of the things I did as a kid, of course I didn't do them as well.

Well now Colin, I have seen one or two of these built on the web but I really do have to say that your paint job makes yours stand out in a crowd.

I love it.

Hi Colin,

I really think your paint scheme would be something that I reckon would've been done back in the day, it looks awesome Sir...
