Finished, and about to go where it belongs. A real pain in the assets. Every 63-75 Corvette kit I've ever built has had horrid fit issues between the body, interior and chassis. This was the worst. I trimmed the wheel well, the interior, and the chassis in a vain effort to get it right. I'm over it right now, and it has been dealt with as it deserved. Good riddance to a frustrating kit, I've got enough Corvettes on the shelf not to need this agro.

oh man that is frustrating, it was looking really great too. Sorry to see you had so much trouble. Good call on keeping the engine.
What kits, Revell, Monogram, AMT, which ones have you found are the worst?

It looks exactly like a Ferrari I did a few years ago! It sucks to have those hours of work go down the drain but I'm sure it felt good smashing it.

I did that with the 2 Fujimi mini's, every time I put paint on a body it melted what a POS!

I hope you got as much relief as I did when the accident happened

Wow! That's a shame. I know what you mean about the vettes, had the same issue myself. I had a Yenko Camaro I was building years ago that I almost did the same thing with. I managed to work through it and took it to a show and actually won an award with it. Go figure. lol

Revell '66 Corvette Roadster. And yes it felt good to be rid on it. Sometimes destruction is just as therapeutic as constuction!

Cheers,
Chris

Beautiful job Chris. I've sent a couple of models to the same place myself. It's a good feeling when you watch it slam into the wall isn't it?
