PostSubject: 1932 Pickup Street Rod   Sun 13 Mar 2016, 1:24 am

This build started life in Australia when a friend of mine, John Nesbit (some of you may have known him as Nagasaki) had some issues with it and said he was going to throw it in the trash. i urged him to send it to me and I totally rebuilt it. I raised the floor pan to get a lower stance, built the seats from scratch, used a Revell parts pack Pontiac power plant, parts bin wheels and tires. I used red acetate to make gasser style colored windows.
Sadly John is no longer with us, so I post this one in his memory

Nice. A really different rat rod, looks drivable.

Nice. Did you make the seats?

Thanks everyone.
Yes, the seats were made from sheet styrene. I wanted a bomber looking seat and couldn't find anything suitable so i cobbled up a pair.

Thanks,
I made a template out of file folder paper and once I was happy with the over all look I transferred it the sheet styrene. They are a bit rudimentary as far the seat mounts go, I could have done a bit more detail there looking back, but hey, we are always our own worst critic right?

Very nice!  Luv the tail lights too.  They look like '40 Fords turned sideways.  Seats are also cool.  We've seen ones made of sheet brass, but that idea is more "do-able."
Nice to remember one of the fine contributors from this site.
