PostSubject: CHP Commercial Enforcement   Mon 29 Feb 2016, 4:54 pm

Shortly before I retired CHP started using all White enforcement vehicles in the commercial enforcement program.  All white units were also used in many cases for K9 units.  Both units could be either slick tops or have an emergency light bar on the roof.  I have chosen to use the light bar as it makes a more interesting model.

It's certainly not a contest car, but for a Snap Kit it came out pretty good.

Now that is a smart looking vehicle ... hard to get white looking right at the end of the day

That underside looks brilliant ...hard to believe its basically one piece

Very nice looker, John.

Question: Here in Indiana, all I see on the police vehicles are the smaller hub caps with steel wheels. Is that just a fleet ordering preference?

Nice build John. You sure turn out some great looking cop cars. I've never seen this light configuration in the past, is it strictly for commercial enforcement?

Denis: To be honest I can't remember what the configuration was other than being blue and red. Because it's going to be a shelf model I just picked a configuration that I liked.

As far as I can remember CHP used the full cover on the late 90s Crown Vic's. It was probably a contract issue, because earlier units did have the small hub caps. I do know that Motor Transport Section often made changes to the basic car before it was put in service.
