Thanks guys!!!!! This is no BS, I am truly humbled by this. The competition was absolutely unbelievable. There are so many exceptionally talented builders on this forum and there were so many deserving models that I have a real hard time believing Frenchies won. Once again, thank you all.

Tough competition indeed but a well deserved win John. Congratulations.

I'm just waiting for Paul to return the header photo to me so that I can get it posted.

Not luck John, just unfortunate that they went head to head. We know how much work goes into a piece like these and much is hidden or not evident in the finished product. I followed your build from very early and have no complaints in losing. The guys picked their preferred build and thats what its all about. Well done once again and Ill enjoy seeing your diorama on the banner.
Looking forward to another masterpiece.

Gary: My friend you and I belong to a mutual admiration society. We both know how much goes into a diorama. We have two entirely different styles, but we both also appreciate craftsmanship when we see it. I truly appreciate your comment and look forward to the next time. As I said in my PM, I can't think of anybody I would rather lose to.

What do you have on the burner now? I'm thinking of getting started in March on "Ruth's Diner". It will be a railroad car highway diner with a cruise in going on in the parking lot. Hopefully it will come together in time for GSL in May of 2017.

Thanks again for your kind comments. They mean a lot to me coming from you.

That sounds like a brilliant idea John, Ill look forward to that starting. Ive got to finish the Star Trek Voyager as Im building it for a friend (i wouldn't normally do that kind of thing, but it should be interesting). A few ideas for dioramas including another WWI scene using Ambulances, wounded and various other pieces, and I fancy a zombie piece using the brilliant MAIM figures

To be honest I change my mind every day LOL, Ill make a firm decision when I've done my friend Voyager, Ive got a Bently Blower in 1/12 which Id like to super detail as well.

Congratulations, John! I'm so glad I got to see this and meet you in Salt Lake last year. It looks great in pictures, but it's even more impressive in person.
