PostSubject: Back on the bench, sorta.    Thu 07 Jan 2016, 12:48 pm

Hi guys,

Well it's been a while (18 month range) since my last post on here. We moved, and other interests dominated my life, mostly riding and travelling.

I have been lurking around for the past couple months, trying to decide if I would jump back in. I have to say the overall build quality on here just keeps getting better and better, congrats to all of you for such an accomplished build community you should all be proud.

I finally got my bench back up and running at full speed ahead, I was hoping to start making a contribution. Unfortunately I can't seem to upload any pics. I have followed all the steps with no luck.

I have switched to an iPad since my last post. For some reason I can't up load any pics, either directly or via Photobucket. Can anyone provide some guidance or pointers. I know how to upload from phtobucket, but when I use the copy feature for the links the only thing that gets copied is the field title and not the link.

PS, I am on other sites and have no problem uplaoding directly, not via photobucket hosting.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Nice to see you over here Curt.
I gave up trying to insert pictures into posts on my iPad so would also welcome any how to info. I have a Mac book which I use and that works fine though.

Great to read a modeler is back.  Funny how many cyclists come to the forums.  Keeping healthy is important to all aspects of life.  I hope there are models in your future.  Good luck on posting fotos.  There are probably helps on the web, tho finding info can be tuff.  Good luck in this brand new year!

Thanks Gary and the rest of you for the welcome.

I'll be back on here if I can get pics uploading.

To you as well, thanks.

Do you ride. I've been riding my entire life. I used to race BMX back I. The 80's. Now I just ride MTB.

Curt..... I'm not aware of any particular problems of photo posting from an iPad but if you PM me some detailed info of the problem (describe what you do and what is/isn't happening) then I will make enquiries on the help forum.

This one is from my Photobucket account. Still can't load directly from my iPad.

I am pretty sure this is too big.

A little bit of dirt.......mostly road on a single-speed.

Why? Because I love the way people freak out when they realize I've only got one gear.

Lol, that's pretty cool Paul, what gearing are you running? If you were really had core you'd go fixie and complete brake less.

Welcome back Curt.

Glad to hear you are spending lots of time on a bike. I also do that, as my "retirement" job is as a bicycle tour leader for Adventure Cycling. In 2015, I led 7 tours, in places such as the Florida Keys, Oregon Coast and Alaska. In early March, I am gone for two months leading a cross country tour from San Diego to St Augustine, Florida. Getting really excited for that one.

Wow, 10K and riding a "Fixie". That is impressive!

The 10k was 2whl, not me.

Thanks for the welcome back Pete.

That is awesome that you are able to do the tours.

Send me a PM with your email. I'd love to learn more about the Alaska tour. I ride black and double black trails and would love to explore more trail locations.

My wife and I will be in Sedona for a month of riding winter.

I currently work in the industry for 9point8, the dropper post company. Have you herd of us, we are up for product of the year with Pink Bike.

Welcome back Curt, hope you get the photo things hammered out soon. Not aware of any one else having the problems so it's all new to me.

Thanks for the welcome back Zbuck. The problem was with how us iPad/iPhone users need to copy a link from the servimg.com pop up window and then past it into this window.

Huge thanks to Ash for pointing that out to me and taking the time to send me a lengthy fb message which included screen shots. I knew it had to be something stupid with the procedure.

Servimg really needs to update their procedure.

This was so simple.
