didn't really enjoy this one much
some awkward bits as it went together, really wanted do the float plane version but it was too fiddly
the masking was a bugger and the decals silvered cos of the corrugations, i used loads of microsol
but they just wouldn't have it
but it was interesting doing an aircraft which isnt military for once
glad it's finished so i can concentrate on the D7

Something cool about metal showing on a plane,  big wings and angular design look more an art project than form-follows-function design.  I like it, thanx!

Nice job, Paul. I really like the unique design and the corrugated metal finish.

I had to try the lozenge paint job for this one.  The Eduard kit proved to be trying for my limited experience in this genre, nut it didn't end up in little pieces. LOL.

Time to move on to other things.

I love those 'old corrugated craft' Paul and yours turned out great IMO.

Mike... that's a little stunner in my book. Great job on the lozenge decals.

FINISHED !!!!

WoW !! That makes two for the year, I'm on a roll.

Old AMT kit with plenty of flaws, but I still like the subject. Hand painted light blue sections and had to touch up some of the dark blue since its all decals.

That turned out real nice Sam. Brings thoughts of more 'genteel' days of aviation.

I'm calling the SPAD done. ESCI kit, rattle can paint and kit decals. Decals would not lay down on the surface and still don't look right. Not the best build but will go with my other WWII and later 1/48 prop builds.

Planes of the '30s often had a streamlined "romantic" look, and I luv that. WWII brought technology and scientific advancement . . .mostly of how to kill and survive being attacked.
