Thank you one and all. Your support over the last six months really has helped get through this.

Thanks but once the queen leaves the hive with the swarm (about 30-50% of the worker bees) they never return. There are still plenty of bees for the hive to recover, provided they make a new queen. All I can do now, is to continue to feed them with sugar syrup. I'll open up the hive at the end of the month and see if we have a new queen. Even if we have, they will need constant feeding so that they can build up enough 'stores' for them to survive the winter. (The swarm will have taken about 50% of what they already had)

Well, I now have them all dusted and in the display cabinets.

just have to get those paintings on the walls and this room is finished!!

Question Al,the cabinets appear to be 'floating' so are they fixed to the wall or what?

They are floating Nige. Edward Leedskalnin was my great great uncle, I just carried on his work until I had it perfected:

They are meant to be floor standing Nige but I had them fastened to the wall instead

Once bitten, twice shy... getting water indoors makes a person hesitant to live at "ground level!" Good plan, almost enuf models for your own museum.
Re bees: if there's food they'll create another queen. Hope your weather provides plenty of blooms to keep the little buzzers busy.
As to alternative to attaching cabinets to walls, cartoon show of "Bullwinkle and Rocky" had miracle metal upsidasium, the anti-gravity ore.

The tables and chairs turned out amazing. Nice group of cabinets.
