nice choice

not so much an aircraft as a flying castle of doom

proving to be not as simple as i thought it was going to be

a few fit issues when putting together the fuselage meant a bit of 'adjustment' with something sharp

and i was going to do the float plane version but putting them together was one of those three handed jobs......so ive gone for the wheeled version.....cept of course i had already attached the floatplane tail!...so that had to come off and get replaced

Cool work.  The 1/144th c-130 may be hard to get looking detailed on so small a "canvas."  Good luck to all.  May you rise to the challenge!

I don't normally do these because I so seldom finish anything but I thought I would jump in with the biggest prop in my stash.

Got more done on this one.  Getting the top wing to sit with a single point attachment was quite trying.  I don't remember having this much trouble with the Airfix DV.  But it's on and I continued very gingerly with the rigging.  Still a alittle ways to go.

masking was a bugger......ended up doing lots of touching up cos the black bled a lot under the tape cos of the corrugations

I see the corrugated finish would present masking nightmares!  There's a job for the "liquid frisket" brush-on, peel off products.  Projects are coming along.

Nice work on the rigging Mike.

I have actually managed to make some progress on mine. The paint and decals are done. And now the moment of truth as I begin to attach the wings and then the rigging.

Sam,
The Skyraider has two large drop tanks that could pass for floats in the box art. It was some times called the flying dump truck because of all the under wing stores for dropable munitions.

I really enjoy the unusual planes!  Military is great, but so are all others I'm not familiar with seeing any place!

The first part seems to have gone without a hitch. I am continually impressed with the level of detail companies put into smaller scale kits, such as the sight for the machine guns.

Calling this one finished.  The Eduard kit is a little above my pay grade right now.  It will make a nice shelf piece, however.  You might notice that the time put into the machine gun PE work isn't even visible on the finished product as are the tiny interior details.

Keep up the great work, guys.

Fabulous, absolutely great decal work.  Compound curves + small scale + wing struts + guy wires and all overcome, congrats!
