Well, I have joined the wings and attached the rigging. Believe you me, it was anything but easy. Now to attach and rig the landing gear. Then I will call her finished.

All these colorful planes makes mine look a little ....plane.

Been plugging away at it yesterday and today. White hates me, it really does. I have yet to spray a white paint job that I am even remotely happy with. I can paint a 1:1 car white with no problem at all. Looks great, hides all the flaws, just like white is supposed to......but on a model.....nodda, zip, zilch. This one was molded in white, used a white filler, and multiple coats of white primer, well cured over the past few weeks due to the weather, and then sprayed the white yesterday...multiple coats again. The results were as expected.....lousy. Transparent, and shows EVERY little flaw that you could think of. Oh well, its about done, and then I can move on....right? Today was decal day. Decals were old, but looked good, even so I sealed them first. Good thing I did, because they still wanted to split. Lots of micro sol and set were used, and glad I had the stuff. Now I just need to find some paint that matches close enough to touch them up after they are good and dry.

Sam, that is a beautiful aeroplane, and you did it justice. The decals look great, and in the photos at least, the white looks fine. Nice job on the cockpit window frames as well.

Sam this a little late, but things have been kind of hectic around here. When it comes to white I have had the same problem. That is until I started using fingernail polish. I've used it now on two different models and both turned out excellent. I use Dollar Store polish thinned 50/50 with lacquer thinner an sprayed at 20 to 25 pounds. You might give it a try.
