Pretty nice job masking for the paint scheme. Decals look good too!

I saw Dick Landy in the pits and on the track in the early seventies at Lions' Drag Strip in Long Beach, CA.
Thanks for bringing back the memories Mitch.

Thanks guys.

I know what you mean Cole. I met Hayden Profit at car show a few years ago and he made an exhibition run in a restored or cloned version of his 62 BelAir. good stuff.

The interior tub is complete and installed and the engine is wired and has a fuel line and is in place in the chassis.

Thanks Buck, Art and Al. Sounds like bluegrass band from the 70s...

Al I am using the technique you told me about on the woodgrain with the clear orange top coat. I have been putting it on when the thin black lines I painted on to look like grain is still a little wet and it softens the harshness up and blends it in.

I noticed in the pictures the floor looks gray but it's not its flat black. Weird...

Nice work on the wood grain in the interior. I miss those pistol grip shifters.

The clear orange top coat is the trick Al showed me.

The shifter in this kit is pretty cool.

Haven't been at the bench much, maintenance on the wife's car and the world series...

I had this sitting on the mantle and it got knocked off (not by me) and landed on the tile in front of the fire place. It landed on the B pillar and knocked out a chunk of the glass. But it was just the quarter window and the break is hidden. It knocked off a chunk of clear too but I can fix that as well. Anyway I am going to find a new spot to display my new builds...

I did get my decal paper in the mail though and got my crew listed on the rear deck lid.

Man, that sucks, I hate it when that happens. Beautiful build, I hope you fix it and carry on.
