PostSubject: Dakar Support Truck Project...   Tue 22 Sep 2015, 3:52 pm

Hi all,

I have been working on these for a while, I would do a bit and then pop them away for a bit again...

I started off with four of these little toy trucks, the cabs are die-cast and the rest is plastic, anyway, this is what I started off with (sorry forgot to take pre stripped photos, as well as the full build, sorry)...: -

I next cut off the rear ends of the two spare trucks and joined them to the project trucks rear in order to turn them into six wheelers...: -

On the original body there where two legs underneath the cargo body that held the rear axle in place, so I needed to sort out a way to hold them in place and came up with this idea, it also give's it a suspension now too...: -

I then made the containers for the rears using 1mm plastic card...: -

Completed build now in the completed section...: - Completed Dakar Project

Many thanks for looking and please comment both good and bad please...

Andy...

P.S...So very sorry if this is in the wrong section, I wasn't sure whether to put this in here or the Miscellaneous section as they're not proper model kits, so please move if needed...
