There's just bits crying out to be stuck together Mitch ....

It all looks really nice and tidy, i like the front grill and bumper ... and the finish on the body is shinier than a shiney thing!!

Thanks Al,
Sprayed more clear and did a mock up with the wheels on.
I made some headers for the Pontiac heads.

Thanks again guys.

I started the detail painting and decal application. I found some parts box decals that will be great however I must have needed the corner of one them to fix something on a prior build. I really want to use them so I used it anyway and then hand painted in the missing part.

The dash is almost ready to be installed.

The valve covers in the Revell GTO kit are not plated and I wanted chrome covers so I sprayed them with Al Clad.

Thanks Art and Buck.

I didn't do much last night. I scratched together a distributor and a front air dam. I am trying to heat some tube to make some side pipes. I got my Detail Master PE stuff in the mail yesterday so I will be installing some Dzus fasteners and some headlight screens.

You probably won't be able to see the distributor once the air cleaner box is installed but at least the plug wires have a starting point.

I just used sheet styrene to make the air dam. I traced the inner part of the lower front bumper on the sheet then cut it out and sanded it a little. Then glued the thinner strip of sheet stock and reinforced it with some little triangles out of the same size as the base. Then I painted it up. it was still a little tacky when I took the pictures but I am not the most patient person...

Thanks for all the encouragement guys!

I worked on it a little last night. I just have a few odds and ends to detail and glue on. Then some touch up and a final polish.

The front end is pretty much complete. Since I mostly use Eye Ball Engineering the lower a arms are not installed symmetrically so that the front wheels are right in the openings. Oh well...

I have lost the carburetors from the GTO kit so I am going to have make some or at least the front one and then some spacers to hold up the air cleaner box. I want to make some ducting under the hood that directs the air from the scoops to the rectangle in the top of the air cleaner box. We'll see how much of a pain that turns out to be.

I think I will have this wrapped up this weekend.

Again thanks so much for all the nice comments. I know there are many builders on here that could do this subject more justice than me, but for my skill level this is one the best builds I have done and I am really happy with the way it turned out.

You are being way to hard on yourself Mitch. You have done a fine job on this one and should be proud of it. The wheel arches are brilliant!!

Don't forget some blanking plates for the headlight buckets.
