Coming along nicely. That color on the frame as such a nice contrast with the power train parts. Nice choice.

Thx again guys. I replied but it seems to be missing so I'll reply again.
Yes moving right along with the build. Business is slow right now so getting a lot of time at the bench.
Frame color is Testors Gloss Tangerine . I've used it before for an accent color on Pearl white and it looked awesome.

Brent, this is an awesome build. Who would have thought that an IH Scout would be pro tourer material. And the stance you ended up with looks killer .... it is right on the money.

I love your wheels. I have not made any on my lathe yet, as I just got my rotary table at the start of the summer. Been off leading bicycle tours since then, and with only one more to go week after next, I will soon have time to experiment.

Tell me how you did the machining of the center hub area of the wheel? I see how to do the rim with outside and inside boring tools, but how was the center done? Thanks.

Thx Pete.

It was soooo easy ... Its called an end mill. Just bored straight in. Did the I"D and face all in one shot.
In the future I want to try some different sizes so I can do a small lip for example on the out side edge.
I have the capabilities with a sharpening machine I have I can actually sharpen end mills and do custom grinds. This is something I want to explore. So I could grind an off set of a face onto the end mill. Plunge with is and get a profile rather than have a flat face as these ones do.

This is the sharpener I have, its very versatile. I have the Journeyman.

This sharpener jig for large drill bits is actually my design. I did the prototype for these guys. It kind of ticked me off they didn't mention me once with the prototype or the launch of it when they offered it.

My prototype in my garage

The end product.

A bit more done, not a huge update...

I tied to mock up the front end using the front bumper, isn't happening so I messed around making a front spoiler.
I also did the hood vents the C10R has.
Rear has been rolled, again didn't like the bumper look.

Brent, nice looking front air dam. I like the little winglets on the ends. And the rest blends well with the front. Also nice looking hood vents. Any idea what color it will be? Wild, or subtle?

Thanks for the links on the machine tools. I will have to look at these in more detail.

Thx Pete
I've backed myself into a corner with the paint. I knew I wanted to highlight the frame with a different color. I might tie that color into the body with a thin strip like I did the chevy II truck I did, not sure. I was thinking a dark grey similar to the C10R I'm getting the ideas off of.

Thx guys.

I had to put this on hold for a bit. Wife has me renovating the main bathroom. Installing new sheetrock at the moment and mudding the joints. Figured how hard could it be to get a wall smooth when I can get a kit to look like glass...... Apparently not the same thing LMAO.

Anyways I will hopefully get back at this in the near future. In the meantime I finished the frame.

Looks awesome Brent. Nice contrast of colors on the frame and it's components. Everything stands out nicely!! Can't wait to see what the body turns out like.

I am also renovating a bathroom, but only a half bath. We had a small water leak in the wall, so I also am doing sheetrock and mudding. You are very right, airbrushing and mudding are very different. The key for the sheetrock is a nice texture to hide all those small mistakes. LOL.

Your work is so well crafted it seems full size!  You just won't take shortcuts or fudge a poor fit.  I am in awe!  Paint colors and understated look make all your work stand out.  Thanx!

Thanks for the comments guys. Bathroom STILL isn't done.....  Waiting on a contractor to build the shower base after discovering the one we ordered wont work. Drain is in the way of the toilet drain....
Anyways a small update. Got some color on the interior tub and the exhaust all done.
Wasn't enough room for mufflers so after scratching my head for a while came up with this idea. Mechanical dumps with some parts box mufflers. Went out the side of the body for the exhaust exit (I have always loved that look).

Super job, Brent. I also like the look of the side exit exhaust. That engine bay really makes a statement.

WOW Brent, this is coming along great. Awesome exhaust system. The look of the exhaust ports just forward of the rear wheels is perfect. Love the stance with those beefy tires.

This is going to look fabulous with the body on!

Well I have decided on a color, went with what I was going to do in the first place with an added stripe. Started the multi step paint process today. Primed, interior painted, masked and first stripe color painted. Will wait a few days for the next step in the process.
