Couple of parts found in the salvage could be useful for another apocalypse vehicle. I'm thinking of a lightly armed sidecar. the big Ford Cammer was initially set out, but that'd be a stretch even for me. Besides these bike parts are half metal and not easily modified for an engine swap.

First order of business was get a rear wheel set up and make a set of swing arms.

Scratching the side car frame. I think I'll be making the body Brizio method.

I hope the guy that invented Bondo is having a tall refreshing one right now on his own private beach in Tahiti !! He deserves it !
Should have better fotos of this later today, but Igore is enjoying turning the garage into an armory as he builds a  Gatling gun wannabe.

Here is the making of the kind of simulated Gatling gun.

Today's work. I have the side car mounts located and the gun mocked up. The barrel is too heavy so I'll have to glue it for the elevation, but it will swivel !

Looking good Clay. I love the Gattling gun.

Could you 'balance' it with a ball bearing down the middle?

Wow, a sidecar with a Gatling gun. Fixed speed cameras are never going to be a problem with this one. Nice work Clay.

Working back on the bike  for now. Made a fender for the side car wheel from a 36 continental cover and a rear fender is being cobbled from a couple of '29 fenders. Have a cardboard pan to build a seat on.

Clay, that Gattling is fantastic! How'd you make it? Any chance of a tutorial?

From a dismantled electronics parts stash, I picked out a rip saw blade for the side car's wheel, and I used two very small gears on the Gattlings crank handle.
The gun itself was made starting with an aluminum tube stuck into a larger styrene tube. A block of styrene was attached to the rear for the 'works'. .030 styrene rods were then placed all around the aluminum tube.
The base was some kind of bracket and the 'hoop' is a cut down wheel backing plate. Crank handle on a piece of wire was a white metal balustrade left over from a ship model. The 'sight' was a radiator cap gauge. Sight is a no brainer - I think the Gattlings sole purpose is to mow down anything that happens to be in front of it. Quite easy to make.
