Great stuff Gary and like Buck, I am learning a lot.

Can't wait until my two paint sets you suggested get here next week. Then I can get cracking.

Have given the head a coat of Testers Dullcote to seal and save what I've done so far.

Started the clean up and assembly. A little filling required at the joints for which I use Vallejo plastic putty. I get this in the 20ml squeeze tubes as I think the pointed end delivers the putty really precisely. I also think it works really well with resign although many would only use a two part apex sculpt to fill resin.

When the filler is dry (overnight) Ill clean it up with a stiff nylon brush and see if more is required.

Hi Gary,

Looking veeeeeeery good so far Sir, I also use the Vallejo putty, I tend to use it as a stopper (finishing filler), works really well and sands beautifully...

Andy... popcorn

I have attached the head to the body with CA. Some people drill and pin the joints between the head, arms, legs etc, I don't bother with this and won't until a figure falls to bits on me. I have blended the base of the neck into the fleshtones using game colour wash umber shade. (many coats). Still a lot of blending into the neck to do.

Ive started work on the collar just to bring the neck area together for blending. The colours Im using for the uniform are MC English uniform (base), MC Iraqui sand (highlight), and German camouflage black brown (shadows). Again creating many shades between the three basic colours to allow blending and after applying the base coat using several thin layers, all highlight and shade tones are mixed with glaze medium to help blending.

Im going to finish the collar then prime (airbrush) the body assembled so far with Vallejo Light ghost grey primer to show any work required on the areas which I had to fill. Then I think Ill paint the majority of the figure 'as is' before attaching any more parts.

Started to block the colours in on the uniform. For the canvas base colour Im using the Iraqi sand which is the highlight for the uniform. The leather strap is MA flat brown with game colour sepia wash.
