Ah! of course, yours is the 312 with the high airbox, whereas mine is the T2 without it. Mine has a very fine demarcation line molded in for masking purposes.

Last nights session was spent cleaning up the wing parts and sanding seam lines off of several parts.  Next week we'll start laying down primer to make sure all is good with the previously assembled parts.

Paul,

Looking good! That's great to see you and Derek working on this together. As nice as this is looking, I'm more impressed that you got Derek to build a car again!

Thanks for looking in guys.

It's been awhile since I updated this OTB.  Derek and I got off track on our buddy build. We still meet once a week, but changed the nite to Thursday.  First, he got talked into doing a couple of armor builds, so he started working on those during our build nite.  Then I started concentrating on stalled builds.  But now we are back to the 312's.

Last update, I was stripping chrome.  The primer went on.

I also started adding the p/e grilles to the radiators.

Al asked about the manifolds, so here they are.  Pretty easy going together.

And mounted to the basic engine.

More done on the front

The rear is pretty much complete.

I just had to mock it up for inspiration.

That's a really neat idea more so when model building is a 1 person sport.

Great progress so far. Anyone want to come to Doncaster weekly and build something?! Lol

The injector stacks look good Paul as does the rest of it. They don't come in turned ali in the T2 version!!

Ah!! I was refering to the exhaust manifolds Paul, shoud've said 'headers' shouldn't I!!! LOL

I've been thinking about getting the standard 312 (mine is the T2) but prices on ebay are just potty at the mo. GBP90 to GBP112......... plus shipping!!!!!

Thanks guys.

The exhaust was easy Al...not like the ones on Cosworth's

I went to Derek's shop yesterday and got some more done.  He's been pushing to get his finished, so he's been cheating by going by the shop every nite after work.

Engine/trans unit pretty much done. And the front end is nearing completion
