Finished.

I covered the styrene camo net with some ordinary cotton bandage, made a hook for the water bottles from solder (Thanks Colin) the helmet hooks and the bowl retainer from some thin sheet brass and 'roped' in the Jerrycans

I also used my own mesh for the turret anti grenade screen, as the kit suppied P/e mesh looked to darn fine and perfect.

All the rest is paint and weathering, then it was treated to some AK Interective Africa Dust Effects amd finally a coat of Testors Dullcote.

Oh! and there isn't a coconut for spotting my not so deliberate mistake!! LOL

The different number plates, Al? AFAIK, there were no SS units in Nth Africa.
Since it looks so good otherwise, I'll let you off.

Very, very good job!  Everything looks in place.  I never studied weathering and wonder whether edges, places where hands and feet rub and access to maintenance and tools all get heavy use have more wear?  Weathering, like auto rustification, is an art and science.  Thanx for yet another vehicle I never saw before!

Excellent job all round, the weathering is most impressive indeed.

I'll go with Chris on the registration/designation plates .... different front to back.

There was apparently an SS police "presence" in one or two larger cities according to my dads diary.

Thanks guys.

You are right Chris, there weren't any SS units in the North African campaign, that was a total balls up on my behalf which I shall take care off.

However, it's not my 'not so deliberate mistake' either.!!! LOL
